Loch Garten, Bird Feeding, What to do

How is everybody getting on with home-schooling these days? Not only do we have a massive found respect for teachers, but also massively thankful for Coffee.

Charli and I are busy teaching and going on some awesome local adventures. There is so much to do right on your doorstep that we never knew about before. Did you know you can hand feed wild birds within a 5 minute drive of our Café? A very special experience for the kids.

The Cafe and Takeaway are currently closed but keep watching as we will post any updates on our social media. Can’t wait to welcome you all back soon to the Café.

Good Morning to all our Friends, Family and Customers,

Once again, we find ourselves in a position where we are unable to have the Café open. Hopefully, this will not be as long as Lockdown version 1. Looks like our amazing coffee, cakes and scones will be on hold for a short time.

We have taken the decision to keep the Takeaway closed at the moment. We did not take any real breaks during the first lockdown and we hope to use some of this time to focus on home-schooling and spending time with the family.

We hope you are all safe and well and looking out for each other.

What is better than being out for a beautiful walk in the area with a lovely Latte or Hot Chocolate and some fresh Home Baking.

Covid has taken a real toll on everybody in the area and across the world, hopefully we will be back soon with some new menu items, good coffee, fresh home baking and can welcome you all back to our family café soon.

What a year it has been, however we have made it through with the support and hardwork of all the team.

Charli and Richard would like to say a massive Thank You to all our customers, friends, family, staff, suppliers and everybody else for helping us get through this last year. We seriously couldn’t have done it without you all.

Do not judge us by our awards, but by our negative reviews as there are so few.

Our coffee is supplied by Inverness Coffee Roasting Company. We use a double shot of Highland Roast as standard, so be careful asking for an extra shot.

Inverness Coffee Roasting Co is a friendly stopping place for the individual coffee lover and a supplier of locally roasted, single origin beans and unique blends, from the high lands of the world to those in the Highland food and drink fraternity.

As a company we have a responsibility towards being environmentally responsible and encouraging sustainable tourism. We are proud to have been awarded a Silver Certification through Green Tourism. We constantly aim to improve our practises in everything we do and will always consider the most responsible action over cost.

Although under the current circumstances a lot of individual single use items have had to be brought in, we have tightened our resolve in other areas where we can improve. Did you know that the entire Café area is heated by wood burning stoves which offer much lower carbon emissions than contemporary fossil fuels. When you couple this with the fact that our wood is locally sourced it makes the Carbon Emission virtually neutral.
