Loch Garten, Bird Feeding, What to do

How is everybody getting on with home-schooling these days? Not only do we have a massive found respect for teachers, but also massively thankful for Coffee.

Charli and I are busy teaching and going on some awesome local adventures. There is so much to do right on your doorstep that we never knew about before. Did you know you can hand feed wild birds within a 5 minute drive of our Café? A very special experience for the kids.

The Cafe and Takeaway are currently closed but keep watching as we will post any updates on our social media. Can’t wait to welcome you all back soon to the Café.

The Café is situated on the National Cycle Networks Route 7, which is where the name originates from. The sections of Route 7 between Sunderland and Inverness take in breath-taking views of forests, hills and lochs. It is over 540 miles long and passes through two National Parks before arriving in the Scottish Highlands at Inverness. It has sections in two spectacular National Parks: Loch Lomond & the Trossachs and Cairngorms. It also forms part the famous Sea to Sea cycle route and includes almost 35 miles of traffic-free cycling between Sunderland, Stanley, Consett and Parkhead including the Consett and Sunderland Railway path.

Our coffee is supplied by Inverness Coffee Roasting Company. We use a double shot of Highland Roast as standard, so be careful asking for an extra shot.

Inverness Coffee Roasting Co is a friendly stopping place for the individual coffee lover and a supplier of locally roasted, single origin beans and unique blends, from the high lands of the world to those in the Highland food and drink fraternity.
